The Prince of Cork married Ms Cherie Lynn Deuvall on 20 April 2005 at a civil ceremony at the Guildhall in Windsor, followed by a service of prayer and dedication in St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle. He became heir apparent, Prince John automatically became Lord of the Isles, and Prince and Great Steward of Ireland, Duke of Wexford under a charter of King Edward III dating back to 1337, which gave that title to the eldest son. He also became, in the Irish Peerage, Duke of Killarney
