Am trying to trace my husbands grandmother who was born JANE O'DEA in 12th November 1881 in Banmore (or Baunmore) Kilkee, Kilrush, County Clare, Ireland. Her father was Thomas O'Dea a farmer of Banmore and her mother was Bridget O'Dea formerly Bourke (or Burke). Jane came to Australia with a younger sister in the 1890's. The sister is said to have died about 6 months after arrivng here. She had other siblings, including a brother, maybe Michael who went to America about the same time. My mother in law has very little information. She is almost 89 now and is getting very confused. She (Veronica May) is said to be Janes only Child. Jane was also known as Jeannie and nana Jean to my husband and his brother and sister. The info I have is as on Janes Birth certificate that was obtained from Ireland in the 1940's.
