LAMB  Londonary ca 1690  1998-04-27  Gene Smith
Looking for parents of Samuel LAMB b. ca 1720 d. 16 Apr 1794 Middleton, Cumberland Co, PA? Is there any information of the following General William LAMB in Londonderry?

Quote: General William LAMB and Samuel LAMB (Brothers) were born in Scotland in the 17th Century. The general distinguised himself in the famous battle (The Battle of the Boyne) fought July 13th 1690 in Ulster, Ireland and won a large estate by the king in Londonary [Londonderry] Ireland. The General died in the Barbadoes Islands leaving a will which read
To William LAMB oldest son of Samuel Lamd dollars
To Samuel LAMB, brother dollars and estate.

Samuel LAMB of Londondary, IRE emigrated to America about 1752 and settled in town of Middleton, Cumberland co, PA and died April 16th 1794. unquote.

I descend from a Samule LAMB that died 16 Apr 1794 in Middleton Twp, Cumberland Co, PA and is documented with the SR, SAR and DAR. He had a son William LAMB. However I doubt if this Samuel Lamb was born in Scotland. I have unconfirmed info that he was born in Monaghan, County of Monaghan, Ireland.

Thanks for any help in learing about this General William LAMB.

Regards, Gene Smith
