LOGAN, COFFEE  County Derry 1700's  2006-06-25  Su Hand
I am looking for information on Thomas Logan, brother of Gawn Logan. Thomas is said to have emigrated from County Derry Ireland to the US in the 1760's and settled in Pennsylvania. It is said that Gawn Logan emigrated in about 1771 to Pennsylvania. Gawn's wife was Eleanor (Belle?) Coffee. I am descended from Thomas, but Gawn's name is less usual, and may be a key to finding more information on Thomas.

I have some information on births and deaths. I believe that theThomas Logan that married Keziah Coffee may be the son of the Thomas that emigrated in the 1760's. Thomas Logan is said to have been born 04 MAR 1764 in Ireland, and died 04 MAY 1848 in Mcconnellsburg, Fulton Co., PA. He was buried in McConnellsburg Presbyterian Cemetery, McConnellsburg, Fulton Co., PA. Thomas' wife, Keziah Coffee, was born 31 DEC 1769 in Gloucester, NJ, and died 04 JUL 1862 in Mcconnellsburg, Fulton Co., PA. She was buried in McConnellsburg Presbyterian Cemetery. She was the daughter of Joseph Coffee and Patience Tatem.

Any help would be most appreciated. Thank you.
