| I am searching for my Mullen ancestors, and a lead took me here. My g-g-g-uncle, Tobias Mullen, went to seminary school at Maynooth, and he was listed as having come from Derry. However, his name on the records was MULLIN. A letter we have, written by him to my g-g-grandfather, Patrick Mullen, talks of rivalry between the Derry boys and the Armagh boys on the ballfield. Two other letters we have to Patrick were mailed from Strabane, so we seem to have the general area pinpointed, but no further. In one letter, Patrick is told that his mother has died, and was buried in Aubry(?) yard. There is a mention of a Derry bridge in one letter as well. Two other brothers are named James and Robert. Their father, apparently, was named James, I believe. In 1839-42, Patrick received these letters in New Orleans, USA Thanks in advance for any help.
