MCCLENAHAN  Between Dungiven/Newton Limavady - 1850& Prior  1998-07-06  Vonda Minner
James McClenahan was married to a Miss Dean. They had 6 children - Elizabeth married Robert Dean, Mary Ann married Thomas Swan, Robert born 1825 married November 3, 1846, Parish of Dungiven-Northern Ireland by Rev. Joseph Gibson Mary Ann (King) Irwin (widow of John King and daughter of Harry and Elizabeth McClellan Irwin). (Robert came to America in 1850.; James McClenahan died June 1, 1878, Rebecca died March 2, 1892, and Margaret Jane McClenahan died Decemer 25, 1895.

Am interested in the children who stayed in Ireland. The McClenahan's lived between Dungiven and Newton Limavady on the Roe River. Our notes say that before James McClenahan two generations had lived in Ireland. I visited in 1996, and visiting the graves of Rebecca, James and Margaret Jane at Limavady - Church of Ireland there was also a burial of Annie Maria who died July 3, 1959 (who does she belong to).

Would like to correspond with any McClenahan from the area. Would love to have pictures of the McClenahan homstead. Hope to hear from someone real soon. Would love to share the information I have on the McClenahans of Pennsylvania, U.S.A.
