SMITH  Moneymore before 1750  2001-03-17  Mary Lee Morrow
I am searching for James and John Smith (brothers). They lived in Moneymore, Londonderry County until they migrated to the U.S. Oral family history says they came to Phildelphia,Pa. in the early to middle 1700s. James had children one of which was Samuel. James bought a farm in Mt. Joy Township, Adams County, Pa and lived there. How long I don't know. I do know the farm was passed on to Samuel Smith and he lived on it until his death in 1816. Samuel married Sarah Porter who was also from Moneymore. Sarah died in 1827.
