Tamlaught Finleggan, County Derry

John Clark of Tamlaught Finleggan in company of 300 fellow countrymen left Ireland to settle in Nova Scotia, under the sponsorship of Colonel Alexander McNutt. Two Vessels were chartered from Arthur Vance and William Caldwell. The Jupiter and Hopewell arrived at Halifax,Nova Scotia, on October 15, 1761 to begin a new settlement at Londonderry, Onslow and Belmont. N.S.
