David son of Thomas Smylie born 1701. MA Glasgow 1727. Licenced at Strabane 1734. Ordained at Finvoy Presbyterian Church 1734 was minister there until 1739 then minister at Maghere Presbyterian Church 1739-1778. He died 1780.
1752 was given 34 acres of land at Ballynahone More, Termoneeny by member of Clarke family from Largantogher, still in his family on Griffiths List {John Robson, his great great grandson. His daughter married a Robson of ?Tobermore. Possibly related to John Robson, an elder at Maghera in 1722. I want to know name of his wife and sons and daughters.
His grandson was Robert Robson of Eary father of Rev Smylie Robson DD, Rev James Alexander Robson minister of Tobermore 1767-1884 Before this he was farmer, had land at Craigdick. Other sons of Robert Robson were John and Hugh Robert Robson my great grand father. My grandfather was Rev Robert Robson 1849-1906 minister at Hillhall near Lisburn Co Down 1883-1906.
