Can someone help us find anything about a Charles Rice family who lived in Montana

Charles Edward Rice, Jr. was born in 1936. The state of Montana returned my request
for birth certificate as unavailable to find. Charles' parents were Charles Rice,
Sr. and Jane Adams. They were divorced and Jane remarried - she died in Las Vegas.
I think they moved from Chicago in the early part of this century to find jobs. I
do not think that Charles Sr. ever remarried. He died in a veterans home sometime
in the 1960's - perhaps in Illinois. Any help or leads (even a hint) would be appreciated.

There are two William P. Tams in the family originally from Virginia or West Virginia.
The first William P. is listed in the 1860 census of Augusta Co VA, the 2nd would
have been his son, he became an engineer, and with his brother Frazier owned coal
fields in West Virginia in the early 1930's when I knew them. Can anyone tell me
if the William P. Tams is one of the ones in Virginia? Will greatly appreciate any
help you can give. Thank you!

1890's
I have Thompsons in unknown part of Montana. Am searching for Frank W. Thompson,
B. a 1898 in MT. By 1920 he was in Savannah GA. His parents were from NC or SC, and
family history says they were missionaries. Frank supposedly had a twin brother.

James Hazzard WOOD b. 7 Sept 1845 in Marion Co Mo. He wed Mary Ellen LAIR 29 Feb
1872, likely in Marion Co Mo. James Hazzard WOOD died 14 Feb 1924 in Montana. He
was the son of David WOOD b.14 Sept 1814 in Tn & Jane Calvert KAYLOR b.20 Sept
1822 in Va. I suspect James moved to Montana very soon after marriage as there is
no further info on him. The rest of his family is well documented.
